Emergency First Aid in Schools
This course is designed to give teachers and support staff the necessary skills to deal with an emergency in a school. The course therefore combines adult and child treatments and techniques. The duration of the course is 4 hours.
Course Objectives.
- Managing the scene of an incident
- The priorities of first aid.
- Examination of a casualty
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty.
- Resuscitation.
- Shock.
- Bleeding.
Course Outcomes
Participants are continually assessed by the trainer and are given a certificate valid for 3 years at the end of the course. It raises the awareness of all staff in the event of an emergency.
